Formula SAE is a student design competition organized by SAE International started in 1978. The concept behind Formula SAE is that a fictional manufacturing company, having contact with a student design team, ask to them to develop a small Formula-style race car. Each student team designs, builds, and tests a prototype based on a series of rules, whose purpose is both ensuring on-track safety (the cars are driven by the students themselves) and promoting clever problem solving. The competition is divided into two kinds of events: statics and dynamics. Static events include business plan presentation, that means in which way you would like to sell your prototypal car to future investors; cost event, that summarize all the costs incurred during the production of the car and design event: a complete sum up of all the parts of the car and the new things made during the entire project. The dynamic events consist in acceleration, skidpad, autocross and endurance events.
